Foods to help with Covid, flu and colds
Just to be clear—there is no magic food or diet that will help. We have some information about foods and drinks that may reduce flu and cold symptoms or their duration. Here's some general guidance to help you feed yourself or a loved one who gets sick, including what to eat and drink, what to limit.
- Hydration – Water, Herbal Tea, Broth, Juice, Soups
- Avoid Caffeine (like coffee, black tea and chocolates) and alcohol
- Limit sugar and salt where possible
- Warm easy to digest fiber rich meals – Soups, Chili, smoothies with fruit or vegetables
